Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, redeeming a voucher, obtaining a quote, paying a deposit, or engaging any services provided by The Beauty Hub – Timaru, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. This allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another client.

Cancellation Fees

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the total booking value.

• Failure to attend your appointment without notice (No Show) will incur a fee of 100% of the total booking value.

• Any deposits paid will be forfeited where cancellation fees apply.

• Outstanding cancellation fees must be paid before any future appointments can be booked.

 

LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive on time as a courtesy to both your therapist and the client following your appointment.

If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, we cannot guarantee your full treatment can be completed.

Where a treatment cannot proceed due to late arrival, The Beauty Hub – Timaru reserves the right to apply the applicable cancellation fee.

 

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

All services require a booking fee or deposit to secure your appointment.

All booking fees are non-refundable.

Where appropriate, deposits may be transferred to another appointment at the discretion of The Beauty Hub – Timaru.

Any credits held on your account may be used towards future appointments or retail product purchases.

MEMBERSHIPS & TREATMENT PLANS

The Beauty Hub offers a range of memberships and customised treatment plans through the Aglow platform.

By enrolling in a membership or treatment plan, clients agree to the membership agreement, payment schedule, and terms presented at the time of sign-up.

​

Membership Commitments

Memberships are designed to provide ongoing savings, exclusive benefits, and access to treatments throughout the agreed membership period.

All membership payments are processed automatically via the Aglow platform and must remain up to date for membership benefits to remain active.

Membership benefits, discounts, and included treatments are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or alternative services unless required by law.

Treatment Plan Subscriptions

Certain services, particularly laser and advanced skin treatments, may be offered as customised treatment plans rather than standard memberships.

These plans are individually tailored to each client’s treatment goals, treatment area, skin type, and recommended treatment schedule. As a result, treatment plans may vary between clients and are not considered a one-size-fits-all offering.

Treatment plans are developed based on professional recommendations and may be adjusted throughout the course of treatment to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Membership Cancellations

Clients may request cancellation of a membership in accordance with the terms outlined in their Aglow Membership Agreement.

Where cancellation during the membership term is permitted, any applicable cancellation fees, outstanding balances, or recovery costs outlined in the membership agreement may apply.

Membership payments already processed are non-refundable.

Failed Payments

If a scheduled membership payment fails, Aglow may automatically attempt to collect the outstanding payment.

The Beauty Hub reserves the right to suspend membership benefits, discounts, and included treatments until the account is brought up to date.

Continued failure to maintain payments may result in the membership being cancelled and any outstanding amounts becoming immediately payable.

 

Membership Changes

The Beauty Hub reserves the right to amend membership pricing, inclusions, or benefits upon renewal. Members will be provided reasonable notice of any changes prior to their renewal date.

LASER & ADVANCED SKIN TREATMENTS

Clients receiving laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular, or other advanced skin treatments must complete the required consultation and consent forms prior to treatment.

​

The Beauty Hub – Timaru reserves the right to refuse treatment where it is considered unsafe or unsuitable.

It is the client’s responsibility to disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, pregnancy status, skin treatments, allergies, and changes to their health prior to each appointment.

​

Failure to follow pre-treatment or aftercare instructions may affect treatment outcomes and may void any treatment guarantees.

Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

 

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers:

• Are valid until the expiry date stated on the voucher.

• Cannot be redeemed after the expiry date.

• Are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Are not valid in conjunction with any other promotion unless stated otherwise.

• Must be used by the named recipient or purchaser unless otherwise approved.

• Will NOT be replaced if lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed.

 

WEDDINGS & EVENT BOOKINGS

Booking Confirmation

A non-refundable booking fee of 10% of the quoted total is required to secure your wedding or event date.

No booking is confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

Payment of the booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Final Payment

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 3 working days prior to the event.

Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of services.

​

Pricing

Pricing is based on the accepted quote and corresponding invoice.

Once the booking fee has been paid, quoted service pricing is locked in.

Travel fees are subject to change due to the ever changing economy.

Additional services requested after acceptance may incur additional charges.

 

WEDDING & EVENT CANCELLATIONS

Client Cancellation

Within 8 weeks of the event date:
100% of the total booking value is payable.

​

More than 1 month after booking confirmation but outside 8 weeks:
50% of the total booking value is payable.

​

Within 1 month of securing the booking:
A $100 administration fee applies.

​

Booking Amendments

We will always endeavour to accommodate changes; however, all booking details, service numbers, timings, and locations must be finalised no later than 14 days before the event date.

 

TRAVEL

Travel is charged at $1.95 per kilometre return, per stylist.

Destination weddings and events require all associated costs to be covered, including but not limited to:

• Flights
• Accommodation
• Transfers
• Parking
• Ferry fees
• Vehicle hire
• Any additional travel-related expenses

 

SURCHARGES

The following surcharges may apply:

• Start times prior to 7:00am – 15% surcharge per stylist

• Public holidays and public holiday weekends – 15% surcharge on the total booking value

 

PHOTOGRAPHY, MEDIA & CONTENT

The Beauty Hub – Timaru may photograph or film services for educational, promotional, marketing, website, portfolio, social media, and advertising purposes.

​

By receiving services, you grant permission for photographs and videos featuring your treatment results to be used by The Beauty Hub – Timaru unless you advise us otherwise in writing prior to your appointment.

 

BUSINESS CONTENT OWNERSHIP

All content created under The Beauty Hub – Timaru remains the sole property of the business.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Photographs
• Videos
• Social media content
• Marketing material
• Educational content
• Client imagery
• Branding assets
• Digital content

​

This applies to all employees, contractors, clients, bridal parties, and any person engaged by or associated with the business.

Written permission must be obtained before reproducing, distributing, using, or repurposing business-owned content outside of The Beauty Hub – Timaru.

​

EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS & CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

The Beauty Hub – Timaru may engage employees, contractors, subcontractors, and guest service providers.

All client records, bookings, treatment notes, contact information, and appointment histories remain the exclusive property of The Beauty Hub – Timaru.

Clients booking through The Beauty Hub – Timaru are clients of the business.

Should an employee or contractor cease working with the business, The Beauty Hub – Timaru reserves the right to allocate future bookings to another suitably qualified team member to ensure continuity of service.

The Beauty Hub – Timaru reserves the right to take reasonable steps to protect its client relationships, confidential information, intellectual property, and business interests.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY

All client information is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with applicable privacy obligations.

Employees and contractors must not disclose, copy, retain, distribute, or use confidential business information outside the scope of their engagement with The Beauty Hub – Timaru.

This obligation continues after employment or contractor agreements have ended.

 

ALLERGIES & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

The Beauty Hub – Timaru is not liable for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or adverse outcomes where a client has failed to disclose relevant information.

Clients are responsible for informing us of:

• Allergies
• Medical conditions
• Pregnancy
• Medications
• Skin conditions
• Previous reactions

Where required, patch testing may be recommended or mandatory prior to treatment.

 

RETAIL PRODUCTS

We do not provide refunds for change of mind on retail products.

Where a product is deemed faulty, remedies will be provided in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

 

REFUNDS

The Beauty Hub – Timaru does not offer refunds on completed services.

If you are dissatisfied with a service, concerns must be raised within 5 working days of the appointment to allow us a reasonable opportunity to assess and rectify the issue.

Any remedy offered will be at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

 

CLIENT CONDUCT

The Beauty Hub – Timaru is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for clients and staff.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services where behaviour is considered:

• Abusive
• Aggressive
• Threatening
• Intimidating
• Harassing
• Inappropriate

In such circumstances, cancellation fees may still apply.

 

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

In the unlikely event that The Beauty Hub – Timaru is unable to fulfil a booking due to illness, emergency, equipment failure, weather events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will make every effort to arrange a suitable alternative.

Where no alternative can be provided, any payments received for the affected service will be refunded.

No further liability or compensation will apply.

Your experience is important to us.

The Beauty Hub – Timaru reserves the right to update, amend, or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
